Sales Manager

A qualified sales manager will help keep our revenue
engine running through their own skill and the leadership of a team of driven
sales representatives. Sales manager has in-depth knowledge of and
experience with the sales process, excelling at lead generation, relationship
building, and closing deals. Ideally you will be a quick learner with strong
negotiating skills, and someone with a track record of success who can
inspire the same in others. The role demands a leader with a sharp mind and
the ability to coach, advise, motivate, or replace sales representatives to
create and maintain a high-performance sales force. Sales managers are
responsible for leading sales teams to reach sales targets.

Responsibilities for Sales Manager
• Work with HR to recruit, hire, and train sales team to include inside
sales, cold outreach and outside sales team members
• Set sales goals, compare performance to goals, and adjust goals as
needed
• Directing and coordinating all sales activities locally and regionally
• Assess current team processes and procedures, identify opportunities
for improvement, and implement them
• Preparing sales budgets and projections and approving expenditures
• Develop individual quotas and assign territories for team member
• Tracking and analyzing sales statistics based on key quantitative
metrics
• Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasts
• Coach, mentor, and provide feedback to team members
• Foster a competitive yet collaborative team environment
• Assess individual performance through observation and measurement,
and suggest corrective actions as needed

• Handling and resolving customer complaints regarding a product or
service
• Setting discount rates and determining price schedules
• Advising distributors and dealers on policies and Standard Operating
Procedures (SOPs)

• Generate leads, and build and nurture client relationships

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
• Create and execute a strategic sales plan that expands customer base and extends national reach
• Meet with potential clients and grow long-lasting relationships by understanding their needs
• Track, analyze, and communicate key quantitative metrics and business trends as they relate to partner relationships
• Recruit salespeople, set objectives, train, coach, and monitor performance ensuring assigned tasks and responsibilities are fulfilled
• Identify knowledge gaps within the team and develop a plan to fulfill them
• Oversee the sales team to ensure company quotas and standards are met by holding daily check-ins with team to set objectives for the day and monitor progress regularly
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes
